MY FAVORITE ADVENTURE
#CareFreeBlackGirl
On November 11, 2017, we hosted a #CarefreeBlackGirls photoshoot in Debre Zeit, Ethiopia, for four incredible girls who were affected by prostitution. The goal of this project was to provide these girls with a break from the brothel, offering them a moment to simply be carefree and joyful.
We began by washing them up, singing songs, styling their hair, and dressing them in beautiful outfits. Then, the laughter began—capturing their radiant smiles and carefree spirits as we photographed their ultimate moment of freedom and joy.
These girls’ mothers are currently or were previously involved in prostitution and living in the brothels. One of the girls, Bereket (in red), has a mother we were fortunate enough to help transition out of this lifestyle.
Our mission is to continue creating these moments and supporting women who desire a change in circumstances. If you’d like to support projects like this, please visit Dear Ethiopia and check out #CareFreeBlackGirl tab under "Projects".
Together, we can inspire hope and create lasting change. 🌟
